William Wagner, owner of Wagner's Central Masonry Repair & Chimney sweep has passed the Chimney Safety Institue of America's rigorous exam to become CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep®. William passed a 100-questions exam based on standard chimney service pratices and applicable fire safety codes. To pass, candidates must earn a score of 80 or higher. Certification is valid for one year from the test date.
The exam is based upon a refernce manual containing up-to-date technical infromation on the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of chimneys, and the National Fire Protection Association's Code 211. The NFPA Code 211 provides standards for chimney inspections.
CSIA Certification is the hallmark of excellence in the chimney service industry. The credential signifies knowledge of codes and pratices important to providing the best service to staying ahead in an ever-changing industry.
William has enhanced his knowledge of how to properly inspect, diagnose, clean, and repair chimney and venting systems in order to better protect people against fire and carbon monoxide poisonings.
